After twenty years in corporate America, I am excited to pursue my true calling, helping others through life as a therapist. I recognize that making the choice to seek counseling can be a difficult first step. My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment by coming alongside my clients and meeting them where they are.
My mission is for each client to feel heard and to build a therapeutic relationship that fosters trust, growth, and lasting change. I recognize that the issues clients face can extend far deeper than the stresses of everyday life, so I will ask questions to explore my client’s culture, social experiences, and what informs their worldview. With a greater understanding of how my clients see themselves and those around them, we can begin to identify and implement ways to improve all aspects of their life.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Concordia University in Illinois and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in Colorado. My educational background and prior 20 years of professional work experience have laid a great foundation for working with individuals ages 18 and older. I am CAMS (collaborative assessment and management of suicidality) trained and a certified grief educator.
